This guide will walk you through Intek Host File Manager’s capabilities and demonstrate how you can use them to control the files stored on your hosting.

What is the file manager?

The file manager is an intuitive user interface that replaces the need to use File Transfer Protocol (FTP) to handle file management in the control panel. A few examples of what you can do with your files quickly and easily include uploading, renaming, creating, and erasing them.

How can I access the file manager?

To access the File Manager, go to Manage a Hosting Package in your StackPanel, and look for the File Manager option under Web Files (as seen in the image below);

You are able to see the files and folders that are contained inside the root of the hosting package in this section. You need to double-click on a folder in order to browse inside it; doing so will open the folder and display the contents within it.

How can I navigate the file manager?

You may always return back to the hosting’s main page by clicking the Home icon in the upper left. To make sure the current folder reflects your most recent changes, click next to the right icon, labeled “Refresh.” A few additional options may be found in the “hamburger menu” located in the upper right corner.
