To create a subdomain through you:

● Log in to Intek Hosting Control Panel

● Choose the domain you want to manage (if you have many domains listed).

● On the next page, kindly scroll down to the Domain Names tab. Select the Domains icon.

Domains

● On the next page, enter the new Domain into the Domain field.

● Next, hit Add Domain.

The new domain name will be added to the Manage Domains tab.

● Now, enter the Document Root for the new domain you just added. By default, it will be pointing to public_html so you can change this easily. The document root makes it possible so that you can direct the domain to the folder of your choosing. In most cases, you should just copy and paste the new domain name into the Document Root field and hit update.

● Usually, after it has been created, head over to your File Manager and create a new Directory for the newly added domain. This should be done so that the new domain will have a place to reside on the server.

What is the document root?

The document root is the folder which the subdirectory will use, for example, you may have a directory within your web space located within public_html called intekgh (i.e. public_html/intekgh), you could point your subdomain to this location by adding public_html/intekgh in the Document Root field.
