Step 1: Create a Google Account (if you don’t have one)

Before you can submit your website to Google, you’ll need a Google account. If you already have one, you can skip this step. If not, you can create a Google account by visiting the Google Account creation page.

Step 2: Sign in to Google Search Console

Google Search Console is a powerful tool that helps you monitor and manage your website’s presence in Google search results. Visit the Google Search Console website and sign in with your Google account.

Step 3: Add a New Property (Your Website)

In Google Search Console, click on the “+ Add Property” button. Enter your website’s URL in the provided field. Make sure to use the full URL including “https://” or “http://”. Click “Continue” to proceed.

Step 4: Verify Ownership of Your Website

Google needs to confirm that you’re the owner of the website you’re trying to submit. There are several verification methods available, such as HTML file upload, HTML tag, domain name provider, or Google Analytics. Choose the method that’s most convenient for you and follow the instructions provided.

PLEASE NOTE: After copying the verification code provided by Google in the image above, you will need to log into your StackPanel and scroll down to Manage DNS under the Domain Names tab. Now from the image below, leave the first column empty, then choose TXT for the second column, then finally, paste in the Google Verification Code you copied into the third column. After this, click on Update DNS and then head back to the Google Search Console page, and then click on Verify.

You should then see a success message informing you that the domain name has been verified by Google, as seen in the image below:

Step 5: Access the Sitemap Section

Once your ownership is verified, you’ll be able to access your website’s dashboard in Google Search Console. Click on “GO TO PROPERTY” and on the left sidebar, find and click on “Sitemaps” under the “Indexing” section. Now follow this link here to learn how to generate a Sitemap for your website for free on Intek Host.

Step 6: Submit Your Sitemap

In the “Sitemaps” section, click on the “Add/Test Sitemap” button. Enter “sitemap.xml” in the provided field. A sitemap is a file that lists all the pages on your website. It helps Google understand your site’s structure and content. Click “Submit” to add your sitemap.

Google will verify that the sitemap was sent in the correct format and has been accepted. After that, Google will analyze the sitemap, and shortly after that, your website should be indexed:

Step 7: Monitor Indexing Progress

Google will now start crawling and indexing your website’s pages. If your website comprises only a handful of pages, or you just created new pages that you would want to be indexed right away, you can utilize the Google Search Console URL Inspection tool to submit only those exact pages to Google. In the “Sitemaps” section, you can see the number of pages indexed and any errors that need attention. Keep an eye on this section to ensure Google is successfully indexing your site.

To achieve this, choose URL Inspection from the menu on the left-hand side of the screen. After that, go to the function labeled “Search” and enter a URL that you wish to send to Google.

After that, Google Search Console will carry out a live test by retrieving and analyzing the URL in a timely manner. Requesting Indexing is an option if there are no mistakes that can be found.

After this, Google will add the URL to a prioritized crawling queue. After the page has been crawled, the URL will be indexed, which will assist it in rising up the ranks of Google Search.

Congratulations! You’ve successfully submitted your website to Google. It might take some time for all your pages to get indexed, but by following these steps, you’ve taken a crucial step towards improving your website’s visibility in search results.
